CU London opened its doors to its first intake of new university entrants, upskilling professionals and apprentices in September 2017. It offers a unique chance to bring high quality, low cost ‘life-shaped’ professional and technical education to the Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Role Purpose:

Taking responsibility for the development and delivery of teaching and learning materials, you will be involved in curriculum development and will be able to demonstrate good practice in teaching, learning and assessment consistent with our aspirations to become a high quality provider. Consistently displaying excellent working practices in learning environments, you will need to have a successful track record of supporting student success. Assist the engagement with local employers, experience of successful professional networking would be advantageous.

Tutors are responsible for ensuring the provision of high quality learning and teaching in modules and programmes within their area of responsibility ensuring high levels of student performance, progression and retention. We are particularly interested in people that have one or more of the following subject specialisms Project Management, Digital Marketing and Business Management.

 Tutors will play an active and leading role in student recruitment for their area.  Positive and productive relationship building with external partners such as colleges, employers, professional bodies and external examiners will also be important.

You should possess excellent IT and communication skills, and the ability to work to deadlines is essential for this post. 

You will be expected to work 36.5 hours per week and this may include evenings and Saturdays and also help with Outreach activities and Open Days
