Teacher/Lecturer in Accountancy

(Unqualified) £24,271 - £25,733 p.a. pro rata for part time per annum

(Qualified) £26,502 - £30,715 p.a. pro rata for part time per annum

  • Part-time hours - 18.5 hours per week x 2 positions OR
  • Full-time hours - 37 hours per week x 1 position
  • Working pattern to be discussed at interview

Please note, this role will involve teaching evening classes until 9pm during term-time. 

An opportunity has arisen for a Teacher / Lecturer in Accountancy to join our Business School team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team of highly committed, professional and experienced Lecturers who have a proven track record of success. 

The AAT Accounting programmes are offered alongside a number of other varied professional programmes and validated degree programmes, and the Business School attracts a good number of students and we anticipate that numbers will continue to grow.

As a Teacher/Lecturer in Accountancy, you will be based within the Business School, situated in the newly constructed Advanced Skills and Innovation Centre, which features modern teaching facilities, working spaces and state of the art technology.

We are looking for an outstanding teacher who is flexible, motivated and passionate about their subject and can motivate and enthuse students to ensure they reach their full potential. You will work well within a team and be able to confidently work autonomously when required to.

As a Lecturer in Accountancy, you should:

  • Hold a Level 4 AAT qualification
  • Have GCSE English and Maths A* - C / 9 - 4 qualification or equivalent

You should also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of teaching Accountancy at levels 2 - 4
  • Successfully taught on relevant HE programmes in an FE environment
  • A track record of good success rates in teaching, learning and assessment
