Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England. Our campus at Newton Rigg is set in the heart of Cumbria.  Surrounded by breath taking fields and fantastic landscape for shooting. It trains and develops a wide range of learners from the county and across the country.

We are looking for a candidate to drive forward the department of Game and Wildlife which already has outstanding industry links, sponsorship and resources making this opportunity an exciting step for anyone with a knowledge of the industry and a desire to pass that knowledge on. 

Game and Wildlife Management at Newton Rigg and Askham Bryan College has an outstanding reputation in the industry for training and developing the next generation of Gamekeepers and Wildlife Managers.  The successful candidate should demonstrate an expertise in management of lowland or upland shooting, a significant knowledge of firearms and experience of resource management, to include grouse moor, partridge shoot, deer larder and gun dog kennels. 

The successful candidate will lead the course management at both sites and will work closely with the Head of Department and continue to build on the facilities that our students use to drive forward quality and ensure high standards within all elements of the study programme. This is an exciting and rewarding post working closely with other passionate and hardworking colleagues and an exceptional group of learners who continue to develop their own skills and understanding by following the example of all the staff at the college. This is a full time post, with excellent pay and permanent role working 37 hours per week.
