Due to the imminent retirement of our highly acclaimed Curriculum Manager for Wine and Viticulture, we are looking for an adaptable leader who can pick up the legacy of the UK Wine Centre of excellence at Plumpton College. We have an ambitious strategy for the future, underpinned by continued investment in our wine estate that supports the explosion of the English Wine Industry.

Plumpton College has a successful, vibrant, and highly regarded curriculum as well as an established and expanding commercial vineyard and winery. Our 10 hectare wine estate boasts a gross annual production of 30,000 bottles of award winning wine (soon to be 50,000 bottles), that have received international recognition.

The right candidate will continue the great work of producing skilled wine industry professionals, and determine strategy for the future to meet the ever-changing demands of the UK and Global wine sector.

We are seeking an experienced wine or viticulture academic, who will be an inspirational leader and demonstrate exceptional managerial skills to our teaching and commercial teams. You will also possess the commercial acumen to drive the ongoing development of our wine business.

As well as a competitive salary, you can also look forward to a great range of benefits including 30 days holiday plus bank holidays (as well as up to 5 efficiency days at Christmas), membership of the Teachers’ pension scheme and free on-site parking.

At Plumpton College we are Ambitious & Progressive, Enterprising, Professional, Supportive and Passionate about everything we do – if you share these values and would like to be part of our growing team then we’d like to hear from you.
