Reporting structure:

• Direct reporting line to: Support Engineer Analyst
• Functional reporting line to: Operations Director

Overall responsibility:

• Providing end user desktop support
• Supporting and Maintaining Office 365 Suite
• Troubleshoot IT problems

Content of job

Key responsibilities

• Setting up and configuring laptops
• Install and maintain systems as directed
• Reporting faults/jobs on Helpdesk system
• Patching of network at multiple locations
• Providing support for Apple devices
• Assist with IT stock
• Printer support
• Other duties as required

Mandatory Grundfos duties & responsibilities:

• Participate in ad hoc tasks as defined by your line manager and/or functional manager

• To carry out all duties and responsibilities with reasonable care for the health and safety of you and any other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work and to co-operate fully with Grundfos in health and safety matters

• Internal:
• Establish a good working relationship with all managers and colleagues in Grundfos at a local, regional, global and Group level

External:

• Customers, both in person and via telephone
• Visitors
• Facilities Contractors
• Facilities/QHSE Vendors

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths A*-C/4-9 or level 2 equivalents

Qualifications taken

• Full Apprenticeship standard in Level 3 Advanced IT Infrastructure Technician
• Functional skills (if required in both Maths and English)
• College attendance to Silbury Campus
• Regular visits from the college into the workplace
• Assessments and observations in the workplace
• On-going training and support from the employer
• End Point Assessment

The apprenticeship will incorporate face to face workshops, online learning and on the job experience.

In addition to achieving a Level 3 IT Infrastructure qualification the apprentice will also study for the following:

• City & Guilds Knowledge Module 1 – Networking & Architecture
• City & Guilds Knowledge Module 2 - Mobile & Operating Systems
• City & Guilds Knowledge Module 2 – Cloud Services
• City & Guilds Knowledge Module 4 – Coding & Logic
• ITIL Foundation Level
