This role is for someone who enjoys learning about new technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, mobile and healthcare solutions.

The company provides mobile and fixed technologies alongside a first-class service, working at the cutting edge of new and exciting mobile communication technologies.

Our technical remit is to take time critical information from vulnerable people (fall, SOS alerts etc.), assess those alerts and optimally process the alerts to ensure the correct people receive notifications, in a completely reliable way.

Our goal is to make better use of Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence systems to improve our capabilities.

Possible projects could be:-

1. Development of components, primarily in dotnet, to run within a kubernetes cluster in the cloud to deal with such functions as location determination and routing

2. Development of applications, to run on mobile phones, to receive alerts, track and support VIP

3. Development / improvement of sysadmin / devops applications for monitoring and ensuring the efficient running of the system

Probably as a follow on from the above there will be the opportunity to get involved with the ML/AI components associated with bigdata

Entry requirements

  • 5 x GCSEs Grade C/4 or above in English & Maths or equivalent
  • BTEC Level 3 IT qualification Grade MMM or above with an element of coding
  • Or an A Level in Computing or Maths Grade C or above

Qualifications taken

The apprenticeship will incorporate face to face workshops, online learning and on the job experience.

Your Apprenticeship Training will include:

Full apprenticeship standard in Level 4 Software Developer

  • MTA/MCP programming in HTML5 with Javascript and CSS3
  • Functional skills (if required in both Maths and English)
  • College Attendance at Silbury Campus
  • Regular visits from the college into the workplace
  • Assessments and observations in the workplace
  • On-going training and support from the employer
  • End Point Assessment
