NHS Professional (Teaching)

We are looking for NHS professionals who are looking for a career in teaching to share your expertise in the industry with future professionals. You will help learners to explore opportunities beyond their expectations, embracing new innovative teaching methods. You will:

  • Be self-motivated, with the talent to drive up standards, nurturing and developing less experienced staff  
  • Be able to engage with health professionals to enrich our learners’ experience

In this role, you will be tasked with ensuring the curriculum meets the needs of employers and developing project-based learning opportunities that challenge traditional classroom delivery.

Our Health and Social Care provision is part of the A-Levels and Business Faculty and is delivered across all Activate Learning campuses.  Our teaching staff are responsible for the teaching, learning and assessment of their specialist programmes. 

The faculty has developed effective, supportive subject-specialist communities, which ensure continuity of delivery, standardisation of practice and sharing of resources. The faculty prides itself on the relationships cultivated with a wide range of different employers.  These employers are instrumental in supporting the delivery of curriculums through project-based learning. All learners undertake extensive work experience placements and employers are encouraged to work with teaching staff to develop relevant and innovative learning environments.

Teaching within the A-Levels and Business faculty develops not only personal teaching skills, but also ensures the continued development staff employability skills, vital in ensuring that learners can relate their studies to real-life working environments.
