Maths/English & Employability Skills Tutors

County Training, as part of Herefordshire, Ludlow and North Shropshire college, are the largest training provider in Shropshire, operating from several bases across the county. We are a major provider of apprenticeships and work-based training, as well as adult learning programmes and full time study programmes for young people seeking to progress into further education or employment. We work closely with businesses and employers across the region, as well as other stakeholders such as local councils.

As part of the ongoing development of County Training's offer to employers and young people, we are seeking to complement our existing delivery team with Full Time and Part Time (hourly paid) tutors to deliver Employability Skills and Maths and/or English qualifications (Functional Skills and/or GCSE) to learners on a range of full and part time programmes of study, including apprenticeships. The post holder(s) will be based at either our Oswestry or Whitchurch sites but may be required to deliver to other student groups located at various venues throughout Shropshire.

Applicants should ideally have, or be currently working towards, a relevant teaching qualification and have some teaching, mentoring or learning support experience in either a school, work-based-learning or further education environment.

However, those without teaching experience, but willing to train towards, are welcome to apply.
