Work Placement Officer
12 Months FTC.
Our Employment and Skills Team is now recruiting for its Work Placement Team, designed to support learners with high needs gain work experience on study programmes.
As the Work Placement Officer you will source and arrange relevant placement opportunities for learners on study programmes working specifically with the School of Construction and Digital IT in close consultation with colleagues in the curriculum area. You will develop links with employers that are willing to support our learners and accommodate their specific needs in the workplace to enable the effective work placement of these learners, actively promote the College within the local business community, and inform employers of the training provision/funding available and feed leads back as appropriate.
Successful candidates will be qualified to a Level 3 Qualification in Advice and Guidance or similar. Have some experience or knowledge of working with learners. You will also have a good understanding of Education policy and current initiatives. Experience in developing relationships with employers to source suitable placements and building effective relationships with young people with support needs to help overcome challenges in attitude and behaviour which form barriers to work.
