Wellington College is one of the world’s leading co-educational boarding and day schools and has an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation. We’re currently looking for a passionate, innovative and experienced Head of Computer Science to lead one of our fastest growing departments.

The Computer Science department is committed to integrating the subject within the wider school curriculum. As well as teaching across the full age range from Year 9 to 13, you will play a leading role in the running and extra-curricular activities of the department and contribute wholeheartedly to all aspects of school life. Join us and as well as leading and inspiring a small team, you will be able to make the most of your excellent skills as a classroom practitioner.

A successful candidate will be responsible for developing a challenging and engaging curriculum, overseeing best practice in teaching, fostering a collaborative, collegial and supportive departmental team and contribute fully to the extra-curricular and pastoral life of the College.

The existing curriculum is supported by an extensive extracurricular offering managed primarily by the students themselves. Indeed, the Computer Science department is a leader in student-led learning and continues to empower gifted and talented students through leadership opportunities. As well as a good level degree or higher in a directly related degree, you will also need a thorough knowledge of the subject curriculum up to GCSE/IGCSE and A/IB level.

Not only is this an excellent career development opportunity, it also comes with a generous salary and benefits package. So, if you have the ambition and expertise to help Wellington realise its vision and are keen to develop as a leader in a dynamic and ambitious organisation, apply today.
