Vineyard Apprentice (28 month contract)
We are seeking a Vineyard Apprentice with a keen interest in vinegrowing who, with the support of the Vineyard Instructor and Vineyard and Winery Operative, will learn to establish and maintain vineyards and carry out basic winery tasks. As part of this role you will undertake a City and Guilds Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship in Horticulture on a day-release basis. The ideal candidate will have ambitions to start a career in viticulture and be willing and able to work outdoors in challenging weather.
The Vineyard operative will be part of a strong international team at Plumpton Wine Centre, a modern specialist facility with its own vineyard and winery. Through completing this 28 month apprenticeship, we would expect the successful candidate to be able to secure a skilled and responsible job in a vineyard, not just in the UK, but anywhere where vines are grown commercially.

Year 2 (based on age):
16-17yrs £4.20 per hour
18-20yrs £5.90 per hour
21-24yrs £7.38 per hour
25+yrs £7.83 per hour
