Lecturer – Equine
With a new, dynamic management team in place, there are exciting times ahead that will allow us to continue our journey as a forward thinking and passionate college who strive to deliver the highest quality student & employee experience.
Equestrian students make use of a range of fantastic practical resources as an important part of their course. These include a 60m x 40m indoor riding arena with spectator seating and judges area, stabling for up to 60 horses and two outdoor riding arenas. There is an on-site equine veterinary practice, and with its own equine hydrotherapy pool and water treadmill these complete an impressive array of facilities for use by students studying rehabilitation and therapy courses.
Equestrian students also have the opportunity to join the Dressage Academy or Show Jumping Academy.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent within equine or a related discipline, hold or be prepared to work towards, and achieve, a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education), have obtained a minimum of grade C or equivalent in GCSE English & Maths, and will be committed to, and have evidence of, CPD.
Duties will include the teaching and training of students and other client groups to quality standards set by the college, tutoring and management of one or more courses or groups of students, along with development of equine courses. Further requirements of this role would be to participate in internal moderation, auditing and other quality monitoring processes to ensure learners, customers and clients receive exemplary service.
If you match the above criteria, and can participate in curriculum development and relevant scholarly activities to meet the needs of changing industrial demand and College development, we would love to hear from you!
