Are you ready for your next challenge in Further Education? Do you have a passion for education with plenty of enthusiasm to develop and inspire the next generation?

Following the merger of Henley College and City College, we are looking for outstanding and motivated teachers to join our English team, and have opportunities to teach GCSE and Functional Skills in English to our post 16 learners on vocational programmes and adults.

Successful candidates will hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in English e.g. A Level (or equivalent qualification) and a relevant teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards). A Level 5 specialism in teaching English would also be advantageous.

You will have previous experience of teaching English up to GCSE, including functional skills in English. Successful candidates will also be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for teaching English, with an ability to motivate and inspire learners to succeed.

You will work with a dedicated team and have the opportunity to work with colleagues across the College. Tailored training opportunities and a generous holiday entitlement are key benefits of the role.

A flexible approach to working hours is essential. We have opportunities on either a full-time or part-time basis, please specify in your application your preferred number of hours. Job share arrangements will be considered.

Coventry College has two campuses (Henley Campus, Bell Green, City Campus, City Centre), you must therefore be able to travel between sites.

Candidates with a disability will be guaranteed an interview, providing they meet all the essential requirements of the post. You will be required to apply for a DBS check if you are successful.

We are actively committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and any vulnerable groups within the College community. We value our diverse College community and are actively committed to promoting equality and diversity in all areas of College life. Applications are welcomed from all sections of the community. We expect all our staff and volunteers to share these commitments.

Please send completed application forms via the apply link.
