The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.
We now have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Nursery Officer on a term time only, permanent, full time (37 hours) basis.
As a Nursery Officer your role is to ensure stimulating, personalised high quality care for all children. You will follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework, Ofsted and Local Authority day care standards while planning for individual children's needs in your key family group taking into account different levels of abilities. You will ensure nursery and safeguarding policies and procedures are followed and that children are well cared for, nurtured and kept safe at all times. To support every child to achieve their potential you will complete tracking documentation including observations and learning journeys for each child. You will work collaboratively with parents/carers to achieve the best possible outcomes of the children.
In order to do this, you will need:
- Level 2 qualification in childcare/education
- Paediatric first aid
- Safeguarding training
- Maths and English Level 2 (or equivalent)
- Experience of working in an early years/childcare setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS Framework and Ofsted Common Inspection Framework
