Could you deliver Academic English to small classes in an autonomous and creative learning environment?

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Academic English Tutor to join our University of Strathclyde International Study Centre. You’ll deliver our unique English module provision, teaching up to 6 groups of students. Our class sizes are on average between 10-15 students, giving you the opportunity to be innovative and creative, providing an engaging learning experience for these talented individuals. You’ll teach up to a maximum of 20 hours per week, whilst contributing to the development of materials and formative assessment, across both our undergraduate and pre-masters students. WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOU NEED?

  • Extensive experience teaching Academic English at a minimum of Level 3.
  • Teaching University preparatory programmes would be advantageous.
  • You will ideally be DELTA qualified (or equivalent) however a CELTA would also be considered.
  • You’ll have student centred teaching practice, with creative lesson ideas.
  • You will be an adaptable team player that is happy to work in a fast paced learning environment.
  • You’ll have previous experience with blended learning and VLE’s.
