With a new, dynamic management team in place, there are exciting times ahead that will allow us to continue our journey as a forward thinking and passionate college who strive to deliver the highest quality student & employee experience.

The Librarian role supports the curriculum areas through the provision of high quality information services and resources within a large and diverse collection of learning materials (both print and digital). We are looking for candidates who could advance student learning through the effective delivery of Library and Learning Centre services and engage in curriculum liaison with designated subject areas across the College.

Responsibilities will include encouraging learners to develop independent research and lifelong learning skills, along with delivery of induction sessions for new learners and staff. Support will also be in the form of teaching information literacy skills by delivery of advice and guidance workshops throughout the academic year. Additional key tasks will be to develop and maintain the LRC pages on the College website, social networks, intranet and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

If you possess a love of knowledge and learning, have strong organisation skills, a desire to work around people and a passion and empathy to help support the development of students and young people, we would love to hear from you!

The successful candidate will need to hold a Post-graduate diploma or MA/MSc in Librarianship, Information Management or Information Science, and have a commitment to CPD.

Interviews to be held in January 2019.
