We are currently looking to recruit a Payroll Officer to join us on a part-time basis. You will support the provision of a high quality and responsive payroll service, providing advice on a range of payroll associated matters to staff and managers, including tax, NI, SMP, SSP, and the administration of Statutory Maternity/Paternity and Adoption pay as well as travel expenses, ensuring that information is recorded accurately and in line with payroll deadlines.
You will be tasked with assisting the Payroll Manager in ensuring the prompt and accurate payment of employees in line with HMRC regulations. As well as creating and maintaining employee payroll records and associated PAYE information.
You will need to be knowledgeable in keys aspects of payroll, with excellent communication skills, able to work on your own initiative to achieve the required deadlines. Experience of ITrent or a comparable payroll/HR system would be a distinct advantage.
You will hold Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English, as well as a payroll qualification (or equivalent experience).
The post is for 18.5 hours per week, working days to be agreed with the successful candidate.
A flexible approach to working hours is essential. Coventry College has two campuses (Henley Campus, Bell Green/City Campus, City Centre), you must therefore be able to travel between sites.
The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.
