Hourly Paid Lecturer - Visual and Performing Arts
We have an opportunity for highly motivated and enthusiastic Lecturers to join us in the School of Visual, Performing Arts and Media at Solihull College from January 2019.
The School of Visual, Performing Arts and Media is an exciting and dynamic department. Provision runs right through from Level 1 to our BA's at Level 6. The school incorporates courses in: Graphic Design, Photography, Fine Art, Performing Arts, Media and Film. The department is forward looking and encourages students to engage in a creative curriculum which includes a vibrant offer of workshops, trips and visits, live briefs and work experience.
Possessing a Degree in a relevant subject, the successful candidates will teach on, and contribute to, the development of programmes from Level 1 to Level 6. The role will include planning, teaching, and assessing. Applicants should hold, or be willing to work toward a Level 5 teaching qualification. Successful candidates will provide academic and pastoral support to students and respond to challenges in a creative way, ensuring that students are encouraged and developed to reach their full potential. An understanding of the needs and challenges of teaching a range of students is essential with a strong commitment to Equal Opportunities.
