Are you passionate about the future of Landscape Architecture and Garden Design, with a proven ability to inspire and pass on your knowledge to our Higher Education students in both theoretical and practical situations? Within this varied role, you will be required to design, implement, assess, support and evaluate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. This is an exciting role, using leadership qualities to work across related curriculum areas embed problem based learning, collaborative practice and employability skills.
Your primary role will be to design and deliver high quality, innovative teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Landscape Architecture and Garden Design.
This role requires a broad understanding of the issues facing the industry with the ability to put theory into practice. It would be an advantage to have either research experience, technical/industry experience, or have knowledge of course design and delivery at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The role holder will be expected to develop independent research, consultancy as well as have a genuine interest in multi-disciplinary teaching.
The ability to supervise and assess student projects and dissertations is an important component of this role. In addition, you will actively be part of part of course leadership and development and will be expected to develop your own industry networks. The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team is important, and up to date technical knowledge is essential.
You should ideally have experience of supervising research work and be educated to Doctorate level and be in possession of a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one holding a strong interest in pedagogic developments. Appointment will be made at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level dependant on experience. When making your application please clearly state which level of role you are applying for.
