Payroll and HR Systems Administrator

As a College striving to be outstanding in all that it does we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll administrator looking to develop into a role which combines responsibility for supporting the running of the College’s monthly payroll with the maintenance and development of the HR management information system.   

Working under the direction of the HR Officer (HRIS) you will provide an effective and efficient monthly payroll service ensuring the accurate and timely payment of circa 550 staff. You will also work closely with colleagues in Finance and MIS to provide the data required for financial and business planning purposes ensuring the HR system is fit for purpose and organisational changes are correctly reflected.

You will have a thorough understanding of computerised payroll systems and processes and experience of providing a payroll service in an organisation with at least 300 staff. You will also be able to provide evidence of responding to queries on payroll matters including PAYE, SMP, SSP and NI and be able to demonstrate experience of working in a process driven, team environment, working flexibly to provide support for colleagues. Highly numerate you will also have excellent attention to detail and the ability to understand, manipulate and explain data.
