Duration: 24 Months

Bright Solutions Software Development are currently recruiting for a Junior Web Developer Apprentice. You will be working within a creative and energetic office environment based in Milton Keynes. You will be actively involved in our whole development process, thriving in a fast-paced evolving environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Managing website marketing
• Creating WordPress websites
• Updating WordPress based website
• Developing new websites and micro website
• SQL Management
• Using PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript

Entry requirements
Essential:

• GCSE English and Maths A*-C/4-9 or level 2 equivalents.

Desirable: 

• Level 3 qualification in a web based or programming course.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of how to update WordPress websites
• Experience in creating small WordPress websites
• Basic ability of web design
• Interested in marketing
• Basic HTML, JavaScript knowledge
• Creative Problem Solver
• Time management

Qualifications taken
The Apprenticeship will incorporate face to face workshops, online learning and on the job experience.

Your Apprenticeship Training will include:

• Full apprenticeship standard in Level 4 Software Developer
• MTA/MCP programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3
• Functional skills (if required in both Maths and English)
• College Attendance at Silbury Campus
• Regular visits from the college into the workplace
• Assessments and observations in the workplace
• On-going training and support from the employer
• End Point Assessment
