Procurement Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement manager. We are a leading College focused on learner experience and we are now looking to add to the leadership team, driving procurement best practice through the organisation and leading an established department. This is an opportunity for someone to develop the team by bringing the experience with them to evolve an already successful department. This position sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team applicants must be comfortable in working and advising at this level.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for both the procurement function and across the College, to deliver a clear sense of direction and purpose that enables the procurement team and wider College to achieve significant value through procurement activity.

You will also deliver appropriate strategic procurement and sourcing solutions for the wide range of non-payroll expenditure (circa. £10m per annum) incurred by the College with a concerted effort on controlling spend and building a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs

You should have experience of working in a senior level procurement role with previous team management experience alongside demonstrable experience of managing complex and detailed supplier relationships
