Learning Technologist*

21 hours per week term time, 30 weeks per annum.

Fixed term appointment until the end of August 2019.

As the Learning Technologist you will play an important role in the ILT Development unit’s activity. You will be required to support, facilitate and promote the use of learning platforms such as Moodle and Canvas. You will also investigate the use of other learning technologies to support teaching and learning and where appropriate, embed into curriculum areas across Gower College Swansea. You will be required to deliver training, run awareness-raising workshops and assisting academic staff to incorporate online technologies to enhance learning and teaching whilst embedding ILT into the curriculum and encouraging and promoting its benefits.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Fel y Technolegydd Addysgol byddwch yn chwarae rhan bwysig yng ngweithgaredd yr uned Datblygu ILT. Bydd gofyn i chi gefnogi, hwyluso a hyrwyddo defnydd llwyfannau dysgu fel Moodle a Canvas.  Byddwch hefyd yn ymchwilio i ddefnydd technolegau dysgu erail i gefnogi addysgu a dysgu a lle’n briodol, yn plannu i mewn i feysydd cwricwlwm ar draws Coleg Gwyr Abertawe. Bydd gofyn i chi ddarparu hyfforddiant, rhedeg gweithdai codi ymwybyddiaeth a chynorthwyo staff academaidd i ymgorffori technolegau ar-lein i wella dysgu ac addysgu tra’n plannu ILT i mewn i’r cwrwicwlwm ac annog a hyrwyddo ei fuddion.

Gellir cyflwyno ceisiadau yn Gymraeg ac ni chaiff y ceisiadau hynny eu trin yn llai ffafriol na cheisiadau a gyflwynir yn Saesneg.
