We require a vocational teacher for dynamic and fast-paced teaching environment at Leeds City College's newest campus, The Foundry. Catering for learners in our alternative provision aged from 14 - 19 years of age, you will have some experience of working with SEMH learners and managing challenging behaviour, as well as supporting learners with a range of learning needs and abilities.
You will need to be flexible, resilient and patient and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people in order to be able to fully support their development and learning.
You will be teaching the Level 1 BTEC in Vocational Studies, being predominantly classroom based, but equally you may have a vocational specialism that can extend learning beyond the classroom (for example construction, public services, art and design, sport or enterprise).
