Leeds City College has a vacancy for an enthusiastic and passionate Deputy Head of Adult Pastoral and Learning support Teaching Assistant within the Department of Adult and Community Education.

The successful post holder will lead and manage the development and delivery of additional learning support, for adults. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring all adult students within the College receive high quality support that auditable evidence is available to support the claim, and work closely with MIS to make the claim in line with college targets. 

The successful post holder will lead and line manage a team of Teaching Assistants in the School of Adult, Community and ESOL, who will be assigned to deliver support and pastoral care to specified student caseloads. The post will ensure the staff are sufficiently trained and effectively deployed to deliver outstanding learning support and pastoral care, and drive high levels of student attendance, retention and achievement.  The post will be responsible for meeting attendance, retention and progression targets for learners with support needs, within the Colleges discrete adult curriculum.
