We currently have an exciting new opportunity for an outstanding and enthusiastic lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, to join our highly successful team. You should have experience of teaching on a range of Engineering study programmes including the Level 2 and Level 3 NQF qualifications, L3 engineering apprenticeships including PEO delivery and the Level 4/5 HNC’s and Foundation Degree programmes. Experience of being an Assessor, a Lead IV and an understanding of the BTEC IV process is highly desirable.
The successful candidate should have experience of working in the following industry areas and/or have the ability to teach some/all of the specialisms listed below:
• Mechanical Principles & Engineering Science
• Further Mechanical Principles
• Maths & Further Maths
• Analytical methods
• Engineering Design
• Thermodynamics & Thermofluids
• Business and Project Management Techniques
• PEO Maintenance Units
• Programming
You will be expected to strive to maintain good or outstanding success rates in all areas, using innovation within your teaching and assessing, utilising e-learning opportunities where appropriate.
You should be a skilled communicator, have excellent organisational skills and preferably have experience of using Microsoft systems, SharePoint, O365 and OneNote. You should be qualified to degree level or equivalent, have a recognised teaching qualification and be able to demonstrate a wide range of both academic and practical skills. We are keen to attract individuals from industry so full teacher training will be provided for an exceptional candidate.
