Professional Studies Lecturer (Higher Education)

London South East Colleges University Centre offers flexible, career-focused degree courses which offer excellent value for money, ideal for those wishing to progress their careers or change direction and to combine work with study.

Our range of courses includes Foundation degrees and full Bachelor’s degrees which are run in partnership with the University of Greenwich, Canterbury Christ Church University, Bucks New University and Pearson.

The Professional Studies section, within the Higher Education division of London South East Colleges, offers industry accredited training in the fields of Law, HR, Leadership & Management, Coaching and Mentoring, and Finance and Accountancy. Focused on adults who wish to develop themselves professionally, and employers who wish to invest in their staff talent pool either through standalone courses or apprenticeships, the Professional Studies offer is now growing substantially, and we are looking to expand our tutor pool in response to this.

We are therefore now recruiting for additional qualified tutors who can teach in these areas of provision, between Levels 3 – 7. First-hand industry experience and a willingness to work flexibly and to be client-focused are essential, as are excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills, together with sound IT knowledge and a modern, contemporary approach to teaching. Experience in delivering training accredited by bodies such as the CMI, AAT, CIPD, and CILEx is desirable but not essential.

We are offering competitive rates of pay and flexible working arrangements. We also offer a generous pension scheme and the opportunity for Continuing Professional Development.

We invite you to become part of our team, and would welcome applications from people from all industry and employment backgrounds.

As the College supports a number of children and vulnerable adults, all staff are exempt from Section 4(2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Accordingly, most staff will be subject to either a ‘Standard’ or ‘Enhanced’ DBS (formerly CRB) check.
