We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated individual to the role of Lecturer in Psychology. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding area of the curriculum, which boasts continued learner success and achievement. 

The successful candidate will be required to teach A Level Psychology to Years 12 and 13 and an ability to contribute to the pastoral care of students.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake the below teaching hours:

  • Monday           10.45 am to 4.00 pm (one 1.5 hr class and one 1 hr class in this period)
  • Tuesday          10.45 am to 12.15 pm
  • Wednesday     1.15 pm to 2.45pm
  • Thursday         9.00 am to 12.15 pm
  • Friday              10.45 am to 4.00 pm (one 1.5 hr class and one 1 hr class in this period)

There will be 6 hours’ departmental duty time to be timetabled around the teaching hours, at a mutual convenience.

The successful candidate should:

•      Have degree or (equivalent) in a Science subject

•      A teaching qualification or be willing to achieve within set period from appointment

•      Have experience of teaching Psychology

•      Current knowledge and some industrial experience within relevant sector is desirable

•      Teaching, training or experience of confidently delivering to an audience

•      Be comfortable working within an FE environment
