Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield, Newcastle and Penrith.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Course Manager to join our Higher Education Department here at York. This is a part time role working 29.6 hours per week (0.8FTE).
The successful candidate will lead on research methods and statistics, teaching across our undergraduate and postgraduate HE provision. For this role you would need knowledge and expertise in research methods and using statistical software. Experience in a land based industry such as Agriculture, Animal Management, Veterinary Nursing, Equine, Horticulture etc. would be desirable.
The successful candidate will work closely with the HE Management Team to drive forward quality and ensure high standards within all elements of the programme, full cost, community and adult education provision.
Educated to a minimum of Level 7 (or willing to work towards) in a relevant subject (animal science, agriculture, horticulture, ecology, equine etc.), candidates should hold a teaching qualification or be committed to gaining one in a required time frame. With excellent knowledge of the Higher Education Sector, you will have an ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data using a range of software.
In addition, you must have the ability to lead, enthuse, prioritise and multitask and have a people and learner centred approach.
