Up to 15 hours per week.

Based at Gorseinon but may be required to teach at other campuses.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to teach on Level 3 WJEC Criminology qualification and the Foundation Degree in Criminal Justice.

With an up to date knowledge of Criminology, in particular the Psychological and Sociological side to crime, you will be a qualified in a related degree or equivalent and hold or be willing to work towards a teaching qualification.

You will develop and employ a variety of learning strategies, including the use of ILT, to ensure excellence in teaching and learning and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment. Committed to continuous improvement, you will contribute to curriculum development and assist with the planning and marketing of courses. A clear and confident communicator, you will have the ability to motivate and inspire students.

You will have strong time management and organisational skills to work under pressure. Flexibility is essential to work on a range of promotional and educational extra curricular activities which will require working some unsociable hours.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Mae cyfle cyffrous wedi codi ar gyfer Darlithydd sydd â diddordeb mewn dysgu cymhwyster Troseddeg CBAC ar Lefel 3 a gradd Sylfaen mewn Cyfiawnder Troseddol. 

Bydd gennych wybodaeth gyfredol o Droseddeg, yn enwedig mewn agweddau Seicolegol a Chymdeithasegol o drosedd. Byddwch yn gymwysedig â gradd berthnasol neu gyfwerth, ac yn meddu ar, neu’n barod i weithio tuag at gymhwyster addysgu. 

Byddwch yn datblygu ac yn defnyddio amryw o strategaethau dysgu, gan gynnwys defnyddio TGD, er mwyn sicrhau rhagoroldeb mewn dysgu ac addysgu yn ogystal â genwud un siwr bod targedau’r cwrs yn cael eu cyflawni er mwyn sicrhau cyrhaeddiad a dargadwedd. Rhaid bod yn ymroddedig i wella’n barhaol, a gofynnir i chi gyfrannu at ddatblygu’r cwricwlwm a chynorthwyo ym mhroses gynllunio a marchnata’r cyrsiau. Bydd gennych sgiliau cyfathrebu cryf, a’r gallu i ysbrydoli myfyrwyr. 

Er mwyn gweithio o dan bwysau, bydd gennych sgiliau rheoli amser a sgiliau trefnu da.

Mae hyblygrwydd yn hanfodol gan fydd gofyn i chi weithio ar amryw o weithgareddau allgyrsiol addysgiadol yn ogystal â gweithgareddau hyrwyddo, sy’n golygu gweithio oriau anghymdeithasol.
