SGS College’s highly successful Creative and innovation Faculty, have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Area Manager, for external focus provision, developing and extending, part-time courses, continual professional development, fulfilling the adult funding target; extending business pathways for Creative and Innovation Faculty, SGS.

The departments are based at our Stroud, Queens Road and Wise Campuses. The Stroud Campus has been delivering arts education for 158 years, delivering courses at Levels 1-6 part-time and full-time; Queens Road campus also has longevity, it has operated as an Art School for 160 years, we deliver a highly successful large Foundation Diploma in Art and Design and a suite of Foundation Degrees and Degree courses, part-time and full-time provision. The Wise campus delivers a variety of Art and Design Courses, Level 1 – Level 3/4 courses.

All campuses have the potential to grow further adult & external focus provision.

We are looking for an experienced and qualified strategic, creative educator/project manager/learning area manager, who can lead and manage, develop provision and business, extend community, creative industries and schools partnerships. Offer advice, guidance and development to lecturers and technicians to promote and deliver transformative creative education to support progression for our students/participants into higher education and the creative industries. They will need to be able to ensure evidence meets the requirements of the awarding bodies and are in line with the Colleges own strategic goals of being Outstanding. The role will require an excellent communicator who can understand what is required to drive quality improvements to benefit both learners and staff.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Disclosure Certificate, Enhanced with Children’s Barred list check, as a requirement of the job.
