We require two new, full time, Technicians with expertise in Engineering and Digital Technologies (IT). These roles are to provide technical support with practical work in the Engineering labs and computer facilities, supporting students’ practical activities, maintaining resources and occasionally demonstrating equipment.

Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent industrial experience in an appropriate engineering or IT discipline. Experience of working in a practical environment and of working with students is desirable.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, tutors and academics at all levels.

Duties include maintaining resources and stocks of consumables, preparing practical activities in advance and supporting students in undertaking them. Classes may run daytimes, evenings or Saturdays and you may also be required to support Open Days or other activities with a focus on creating an outstanding academic student experience.
