Associate Senior Lecturer, Fashion Promotion, Marketing Specialist (0.6)

Ravensbourne is looking to recruit an innovative and future thinking lecturer to join our award winning and fast growing Fashion Promotion course. This exciting sector involves engaging with traditional, digital and emerging technologies and audiences. Key areas within the Fashion Promotion curriculum include fashion marketing, branding, graphics, art direction, moving image, visualisation and social media.

The successful candidate will, in this case, specialise in delivery of the fashion market research methodologies and fashion marketing. You will take the lead in guiding students through the process of identifying gaps in the market and be familiar with a range of primary and secondary research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative. You should have sound knowledge of the range of contemporary promotional media used to effectively communicate in the area of fashion promotion.

Knowledge of programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator Wordpress, Indesign and knowledge of film production and post production, Final Cut Pro are an advantage on this digital course. He/she will join the team in influencing and developing the course. He/she will have a first degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject, and should be able to demonstrate good, recent professional knowledge and experience (both industry and academic) in the area of Fashion Promotion. The candidate will possess excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage students will be essential.  

Applicants should have the ability to employ creative learning and teaching methods, as well as experience in the area of curriculum development and delivery.
