Salon Apprentice (L2)

Possible start date: 10th December 2018

Working week: 36 hours per week, Monday - Sunday

Naked are looking for an eager and passionate Salon Apprentice to join their friendly, dynamic, professional team. If you are keen to succeed in the hairdressing industry, then this is the perfect opportunity for you!

You will be trained and supervised as a Salon Apprentice to ensure the smooth daily running of the salon.

Main responsibilities

• To assist experienced stylists in all aspects of work that they do which can include colouring, cutting or styling hair
• Typical reception duties include taking salon bookings, processing payments and retailing hair care products
• Shampooing clients hair
• To welcome customers, hang up their coats for them in the cloakroom as well as get them refreshments
• To ensure the salon is in a clean and tidy environment. This will involve sweeping clean the salon floor of cut hair, or cleaning away client's finished coffee cups, helping keep the main reception desk clear etc
• Maintaining equipment and stock

Things to consider

• The salon is based in Northampton Town Centre and your training will be externally undertaken at Milton Keynes College.
• Please consider your travel commitments.
• You will spend a considerable amount of your working day on your feet.
• Your hours of work will include a mix of evening and weekends.

Entry requirements

• No formal hairdressing qualifications are required, as full training will be given.
• Desirable - Grade C/4 and above in both Math’s and English (or equivalent).
