SGS College’s Exams & Registry Department are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Exams Officer to lead a team of exam administrators to ensure the effective organisation, operational management and delivery of all exam based activities at our Bristol campuses.
The successful candidate will have line-management experience and excellent administration skills. Previous experience of working in an exams office would be an advantage but not essential. The role is busy and varied and will include the operational management of A levels and GCSEs; and also a wide range of vocational, apprenticeship and adult assessments.
The ideal candidate will have excellent line-management, organisational and time management skills; be self-motivated, be comfortable working to multiple priorities and meeting external deadlines under limited supervision. The ability to communicate at all levels (both externally and internally) is essential for this role, as is the commitment to a customer-focussed exams service, providing a calm environment to support learners to achieve.
This role will have line management responsibility for exams administrators based at our Filton campus, and will also manage a pool of claims-based invigilation staff.
The post holder will be based primarily at our Filton campus but the role will involve occasional travel to our Wise and Queens Road (Clifton) sites.
