About the role.

Based at Rotherham College but with a requirement to travel to our other sites. Normal working hours will be 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 3pm on Friday however you will need to be flexible to the Group's requirements and that will sometimes require out of hours working. Post holder will carry out repairs and maintenance of the Groups estates in a timely manner and in line with current legislation and Group policies and procedures, while undertaking portable appliance testing (PAT) on electrical and electronic Equipment providing advice on actions as required. The post holder will ensure that Group buildings are safe and secure at all times by being visible, pro-active, professional and friendly. 

Have you got what it takes?

To be considered for this role, you will need to be qualified to 17th Edition Electrical (with an expectation to update to 18th Edition) and PAT certified, have substantial  experience in a similar role and be able to work to your own initiative. Due to the nature of the role a driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential. You will be highly flexible and able to respond quickly to changes in demands upon you including responding to urgent jobs and supporting colleagues across the Facilities team.
