Careers Advisor

In this role you will be covering sites across Rotherham, Sheffield and Worksop.

The RNN Group incorporates Rotherham College, North Notts College, Dearne Valley College and its five subsidiary training organisations. About the role.

In this new role you will be part of an exciting project to focus on developing and delivering a triage approach to support our work with SEND learners, LACs and those learners with Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs). 

As a key member of our career steam you will deliver a high level of careers information, advice and guidance supporting learners with their choices in regards to their career progression and set SMART career targets to support our learners to positive destinations.

You will work collaboratively across college and with our external partners to advocate on behalf of learners and reinforce our partnership network.

This post is temporary for one year from commencement and is funded through a bid made by the Association of Colleges to the Careers and Enterprise Company. The role will also contribute to the implementation of the careers programme, the achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks and the statutory careers guidance strategy.

Have you got what it takes?

An in depth knowledge and understanding of the progression routes available including up to date labour market information is essential.Excellent interview and group session delivery skills are also essential. You should also have English & Maths qualifications at level 2 or above, and a Level 6 Information, Advice & Guidance qualification.
