35 hours per week.

We are looking for an organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to provide technical support, instruction and supervision to students in the safe and correct use of the relevant machinery, equipment and materials associated with the multi-disciplinary nature of contemporary Fine Art. The successful candidate will display a knowledge of and interest in Fine Art and a technical skills base which may include a broad range of sculptural techniques such as, metal and wood working, casting and ceramics. A familiarity with the processes of printmaking, painting and drawing is also highly desirable. Your duties will include assisting academic staff during practical sessions, maintenance of equipment, maintaining and supervising the safe and efficient operation of the teaching area and providing technical support in the development of the lecturers’ practical work with the students.

The ideal candidate may have a Degree in Fine Art and have 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, or equivalent, including Maths and English, and should also have excellent visual and verbal communication skills.
