Designated Lead

The RNN Group incorporates Rotherham College, North Notts College, Dearne Valley College and its five subsidiary training organisations. About the role

This role offers the successful candidate the chance to play a leading role in developing young people's success at the RNN group. The role holder will support a caseload of learners who classify as 'vulnerable' including 'looked after', 'care leaver' or 'young carer'. Attending inter agency meetings, offering support throughout the journey and helping the young person achieve their full potential.  In this role the post holder will liaise internally and externally for the benefit of the young person, acting as support and advocate throughout their learner journey. They will hold and chair discussions around progression and ensure access to careers is provided to increase success rates of 'vulnerable learners'. 

Have you got what it takes?

We are looking for an energetic, innovative, flexible individual who is fully committed to the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults to help students reach their full potential. You should have a knowledge and understanding of pre and post 16 education and training along with an understanding of DfE guidance. You must be able to relate positively, confidently and sympathetically to people from a range of backgrounds, differing abilities and levels of motivation. Familiarity with computer applications, particularly word processing, PowerPoint and databases is a requirement along with excellent communication and interpersonal Skills. Due to the nature of the role a current driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
