This role gives you an exciting opportunity to lead a small, friendly and specialist marketing team. As the College’s central person for all things marketing you’ll be using your well-practised organisational, administrative and communication skills to coordinate a wide range of marketing activities, materials and events across the College’s Campuses.

As well as demonstrating exceptional organisational skills, the successful candidate will need a good eye for detail, excellent communication skills, accurate copy writing skills and the ability to work confidently within college branding guidelines. You’ll be able to seize opportunities for positive PR and produce strong photography for a wide variety of marketing mediums. The post also includes working with social media engagement so experience with social media is an advantage, particularly a familiarity with Hootsuite or Buffer.

Working in a busy marketing environment will make the most of your management skills where delegation will be of key importance. You’ll need to use Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint with ease as well as be comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) to produce engaging and creative artwork. Taking part in some key recruitment and celebratory events throughout the year, you will be a passionate communicator and a positive representative of the College. As we regularly visit our other campuses you will need a full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Herefordshire and Ludlow College is committed to equality and diversity, safeguarding and the Prevent Duty and promotes the welfare of all learners and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Interview date: Thursday 29th November 2018.
