Lecturer in Sport (Rugby) - Fixed Term

Fixed Term until 30th June 2019.

Hartpury College of Further Education is a leading sports and land-based residential college which was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2018. The overall effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the 16-19 study programmes all received the highest grade from Ofsted.

As a highly enthusiastic, self-motivated lecturer with a passion for Rugby, you will teach units on our popular Extended and Subsidiary Diploma Sport - Rugby programmes. Ideally, you will possess an honours degree in a sports related subject in addition to fitness and an appropriate rugby coaching qualification. A proven track record in a coaching environment would also be a distinct advantage. The successful candidate should also have strong communication and administrative capabilities. Teaching experience is desirable but not essential as the College operates an extensive staff development programme.

We offer excellent benefits including continuous professional development opportunities, 35 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays, onsite fitness facilities, free onsite parking and lots more.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
