We are looking for an outstanding practitioner with a passion for teaching to take the lead role in developing, raising and maintaining the quality and standards of teaching and learning across the College, to cover a period of maternity leave. Reporting to the Vice Principal, you will coordinate the work of Teaching and Learning Coaches, implement a new ‘cross-colleges’ group strategy and provide content for senior level reports.
You should possess a good understanding of awarding body regulations and up to date knowledge of curriculum reform, as the role supports the Vice Principal in overseeing external verification visits/compliance. You will manage a Quality Co-ordinator role to support the TLA aspects of the Quality Calendar oversight that sits with this role. You should also have excellent IT skills and a good understanding of Further Education funding, alongside a range of management skills including excellent communication and team leadership, planning and organising abilities. You must have an advanced level teaching qualification, together with the knowledge and experience to motivate your team to achieve high standards.
