Senior Lecturer - Digital Film Production

Ravensbourne is looking to recruit a creative & innovative educator to join the Digital Film Production team. This world renowned course is design-led, enabling students to create a broad range of filmic experience that reflects the diversity of the contemporary screen industry and to practice and experiment with evolving and emerging technologies. There will be an emphasis on collaboration, with our existing courses, as well as with our industry partners.

The successful applicant will have a first degree or post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject, and should be able to demonstrate good, recent professional knowledge and experience (both industry and academic) in Digital Film Production. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to engage students directly with their chosen industry will be of significant benefit, and the ability to deploy creative learning and teaching methods, and to innovate in curriculum design would be advantageous. An active research profile or interest in participating in research is of interest.

Applicants will be expected to possess high level, current skills in Digital Film Production. These may be in a particular part of the discipline such as Digital Cinematography, CGI, or post production, or may be in areas such as Sustainable Production Management, Delivery Platforms, or Directing for multi platform production. Applicants with experience of new approaches to online collaborations and online production tools will be particularly welcome, as would an ability to contribute to the understanding of the industrial contexts of Digital Film. A high level of technical understanding and ability is essential.

Interview Date: Thursday 15th November 2018 (subject to change).
