We are seeking a database systems administrator to provide support, maintenance and development of our HR system. You will have experience in a similar role and possess a thorough understanding of database administration.

This role would suit an exceptional individual who has the drive and commitment to develop, maintain and administer the system in a fast paced and challenging environment.  You will need to be tenacious and have the ability to carry out and deliver developmental work on the HR system to provide excellent user experience.

The role will include the design, development, configuration and testing of the system and in particular new or enhanced functionality through new modules and upgrades. You will support and contribute to the review and improvement of systems processes, have data quality responsibilities and system administration duties.

The main priorities will be HESA returns, inputting data through rigorous validation process before submitting, resolving problems and queries, developing ESS (employee self-service) functions and data input and reporting, ensuring the data is “clean”. Basic SQL knowledge and database structure is required.

You will be responsible for providing reports for the HR team and the College community, producing the monthly payroll data for the HR Team, running the annual Gender Pay Gap reporting and undertake final data checks on staff HR files. Working on FOI requests and providing accurate and relevant data, so you will need to be methodical.
