3rd Line IT Systems Engineer

This is an exciting time to join Hartpury University and Hartpury College, one of the UK’s leading sports and land based, residential institution in the sector with outstanding teaching and sporting facilities.  

As 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer, you will work as part of our IT services team, and in partnership with the academic departments and other services to ensure an excellent level of service is delivered to our students and staff. You will ensure that third line services support both IT support colleagues as well as the wider organization and ensure that those activities are aligned with future technical developments and changes within Hartpury.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in providing an excellent third line technical support service. You will have a proven track record and practical experience of managing a diverse range of IT systems, including a knowledge of Juniper and Cisco Switches, Powershell, Hyper-V.

Experience of network management, Network Access Control, MDM packages, and services based both on premise and in the cloud would be desirable. With highly developed problem solving skills, you will work with colleagues to contribute to a culture of continuous service improvement. A proven track record of excellent communication skills is essential with the ability to communicate confidently with all levels of the organisation. Ideally, you will possess a relevant industry qualification or equivalent experience in IT gained over at least 3 years.
