Possible start date: 7th January 2019
Working week: Mon - Fri, 37.5 hours per week
Do you have good practical skills? Would you like to start a career in Engineering? We have employers in the Milton Keynes area who are looking to recruit apprentices for their businesses where you will learn new skills relating to the industry.
The successful candidate will be supporting colleagues with a variety of tasks including:
- Assemble products as dictated by current orders
- Work within the times set for builds but maintain a high quality standard
- Able to read from and work with various types of information including basic cable run out sheets
- Pack and label product on completion and after test if required
- Maintain job packs and other associated paperwork with Job Packs
- Produce plotted and printed labels
- Work with other team members of staff including other departments to streamline manufacturing process to maintain efficiency
- Take on additional tasks in order to meet departmental, project related or developmental objectives
- Compliance with H&S policy and procedures
- To participate in day release to college
Entry requirements
- GCSEs Grade C or above in English, Maths & Science (or equivalent), depending on employer requirements
- Predicted grades will be acceptable
