- To carry out consultations with clients, with exceptional client care skills
- Provide barbering services, such as cutting, trimming, shampooing, and styling hair, trimming beards, or giving shaves.
- Clean and sterilize scissors, combs, clippers, and other instruments.
- To demonstrate the professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with the role
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Making refreshments
- Making sure towels and supplies are ready for use
- Keeping the salon clean and tidy and maintaining hygiene
- Working as a team, assisting barbers
Entry requirements
Desirable - Grade C and above in both Maths and English or equivalent

- You will be trained and supported by both your employer and Milton Keynes College to demonstrate professionalism, values, behaviours, communication skills and safe working practices associated with your role
- Barbers will be trained to shampoo and condition hair, cut hair using barbering techniques, style and finish hair, cut facial hair into shape and provide shaving services for men
- Required college attendance (Bletchley Campus)
- Functional skills in both Maths and English if required
- End point assessment
