Learning Support Assistant

Leeds City College is seeking to recruit a range of staff at its Education and Training centre for young people with complex needs and behaviours which may challenge others. The provision is based at the Queenswood Education Centre in Leeds and caters for students aged 16 to 25. In our recent Ofsted inspection, High Needs provision was graded as Outstanding and Inspectors said we have high aspirations and expectations for our students and they thrive in the highly supportive environment and make outstanding progress.

We would welcome applications from those who have experience working with young people with complex needs, disabilities and behavioural challenges. We are also looking for staff with experience of the Preparation for Adulthood Agenda as well as those delivering independence skills, creative arts and community living.

As part of this recruitment campaign we are seeking:

Learning Support Assistants - 30 hours per week, permanent, Monday to Friday, working 39 weeks per year in term time (reduced year contract).
