Blackburn College’s hospitality facilities are amongst the best in the country. We offer a range of courses to provide students with the perfect real-life conditions to practice their skills and obtain invaluable experience needed to fulfill long and valuable careers.  Join our dedicated staff and you will be able to help the students succeed too!

The Role

The Centre for Hospitality offers a wide range of learning opportunities for students who wish to work in the hospitality industry. Within this Centre there is full-time provision across the sector plus work based learning provision providing training in the workplace for Hospitality.  We are seeking to appoint a part-time hourly paid Lecturer in Hospitality to join our professional team.

You will teach across a range of courses and levels; and in your role you will play a key part in helping our learners achieve the highest possible standards. In addition, as part of a curriculum team you will contribute to course promotion, delivery, planning, development and student support. Within the Centre there are also two catering outlets which you will take an active part in supporting.

Ideally we are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher though competent and enthusiastic individuals will be considered. Qualified to at least level 3 in professional cookery or professional equivalent, you should have experience of working within a Hospitality setting and of delivering training to groups in the 14 – 19 age group. A level 3 qualification in Patisserie or equivalent would be an advantage.

Closing date for applications: 9am on Thursday 4th October 2018.

Interviews will be held on Friday 12th October 2018.
