Herefordshire and Ludlow College is a highly successful College with excellent outcomes for students, superb resources for learning, and outstanding financial health. The College operates from four main locations: Hereford, Ludlow, Holme Lacy and Shrewsbury. We provide a diverse curriculum to over 2,000 full-time and 6,000 part-time learners. This post is designed to provide effective leadership and management of the college’s mathematics provision in Hereford and Holme Lacy. Current provision in this area includes:

• Functional Skills in Mathematics.
• GCSE Maths.
• Functional Skills in ICT
• Essential Digital Literacy Skills.

The Head of Mathematics will be an inspirational classroom practitioner with a demonstrable track record in developing and enhancing the teaching practice of others and delivering excellent achievement rates. There will be direct line management responsibilities and close working with the Head of English to ensure effective planning and liaison with Course Leaders, Curriculum Team Leaders and Assistant Principals to develop fit-for-purpose and high quality mathematics GCSE and mathematics/ICT functional skill provision. This role includes a 0.5 teaching commitment.
